Description:

The Granfondo BGY is a prestigious cycling race that offers various route options to meet the needs of cyclists of different abilities and experience levels.

Short Route:
Starting from Bergamo, the cycling route immediately heads towards the hills of Moscato di Scanzo, tackling the first climb on Colle dei Pasta.
Continuing through Val Cavallina to reach Gaverina Terme, cyclists then face the second climb up Colle Gallo, reaching up to 744 meters above sea level.

Descending into Val Seriana and after a brief transfer, cyclists tackle the mythical climb of Selvino, consisting of 19 hairpin turns, each dedicated to a great Bergamo cyclist. This ascent is essential for both the Giro d'Italia and the Giro di Lombardia. Reaching 923 meters in altitude after 10.9 km of ascent, with an average gradient of 5.5% and a maximum of 10.6%.

After a pause at the mythical fountain of Selvino, cyclists descend towards Val Brembana through a small and steady descent before returning to Bergamo.

The short route of the Granfondo BGY offers interesting physical challenges in an excellent naturalistic setting, while maintaining a moderate distance. It's a pleasant experience that allows you to tackle significant climbs and requires a moderate level of physical preparation.
