The long route starts from Bergamo heading straight after the start towards the hills of Moscato di Scanzo, tackling the first climb on Colle dei Pasta.
It continues through Val Cavallina to reach Gaverina Terme, where the attack on the second climb of Colle Gallo begins, reaching up to 744 meters above sea level.
Descending towards Val Seriana and after a short transfer, it faces the mythical ascent of Selvino, with 19 hairpin turns each dedicated to a great cyclist from Bergamo, an ascent that is essential both for the Giro d'Italia and the Giro di Lombardia.
Reaching an altitude of 923 meters after 10.9 km ascent with an average gradient of 5.5% and a maximum of 10.6%.
After a stop at the mythical fountain of Selvino, descending towards Val Brembana, it ascends through the suggestive San Pellegrino, and after San Giovanni Bianco, it takes the road towards Val Taleggio.
After nearly 20 km of climbing through the typical "horrors" of the valley and other beautiful landscapes like Costa d'Olda up to Forcella di Bura.
A short descent to immediately attack Forcella di Berbenno, another short descent prepares cyclists for the last and challenging ascent:
Climbing up Valle Imagna to Costa Valle Imagna at 1036 meters altitude, after 8.3 km with an average gradient of 7.5% and a maximum of 12%.
Finally, descending again towards Valle Brembana and through a small and steady descent, returning to Bergamo.
